John ‘Jack’ Delisle, 77

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — John “Jack” Alan Delisle, 77, of North Adams died on Sunday, March 4, 2018. 

He was born in North Adams on July 1, 1940, a son of the late Henry & Viola (Belleau) Delisle. Jack attended Notre Dame School and St. Joseph High School and graduated with the class of 1958. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961. He was employed by Arnold Lumber in Pittsfield and was last employed for 43 years at Cascade School Supplies, where he served as a Vice President and buyer, retiring in 2005. 

Jack was a founding member of the Berkshire Spartans, coached North Adams Little League baseball, and was a member of the North Adams Lions Club and the Greylock Community Club.

Jack leaves his wife of 53 years, Donna M. (Hocking) Delisle, whom he married on May 16, 1964, at Notre Dame Church; two daughters, Carin Faraci and her husband Brian and their children Jackson, Noah and Ariel of South Winsor, Conn., and Christine Gomeau and her husband BJ and their children Keegan, Killian, Nicholas and Henley of Enfield, Conn.; one son, James Delisle and his wife Kimberly and their children Sarah and Marielle of Smithfield, R.I.; a brother, Edward “Ted” Delisle and his wife, Christine; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by four brothers, Michael, Robert, James and Richard Delisle. 

Funeral notice: A service to celebrate the life of Jack Delisle will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Burial will follow in Maple Street Cemetery, Adams, Mass. Donations may be made to Pop Cares through the funeral home.
