Irene LaFlash, 90

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Irene E. LaFlash, of 90 Connecticut Avenue, died March 2, 2018.

Born in Pittsfield on September 12, 1927, daughter of Harry and Lena Daniels Elfving. She attended Pittsfield Schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1945. Mrs. LaFlash was employed by General Electric Company for 44 years, retiring in 1990.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and was a member of GE Pensioners Club

Her husband, David P. LaFlash, whom she married on September 14, 1963, at the former Notre Dame Church, died August 30, 1993. She leaves cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral notice: Funeral services for Irene E. LaFlash, who died March 2, 2018, will be held at Dery Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. celebrated by Msgr. Michael Shershanovich. An hour of visitation will preceed the service beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
