Barbara Ryan, 95

SAVOY, Mass. — Barbara Ryan, 95, of Savoy passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the Williamstown Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Adams on May 13, 1922, daughter of the late Francis and Alice Lawler Labatt, she attended Adams schools and was a graduate of the former Adams High School with the class of 1940. Barbara was first employed for the former New England Telephone Co. as an operator, and then for the former Stone Market Center in Adams.

Barbara was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed knitting in her younger years.

Her husband Robert Ryan, whom she married on June 30, 1947, died December 12, 1992.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Rennie and her husband William of Adams and Martha Ryan of Colorado; four grandchildren, William, Kathleen, Kevin and Laura; several great-grandchildren; close friends and caregivers Jody Jardine and Donald Merlini; and her cat Ginger.

Funeral notice: Services and burial in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams will be private. There are no calling hours. Donations in her memory can be made to the Savoy Volunteer Fire Dept in care of the Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220, who is in charge of arrangements.
