Gale A. Hartel, 62

CUMBERLAND, Md. — Gale Ann Hartel, 62, of Cumberland, Md., passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born August 2, 1955, in Middletown, Ohio. Gale was the daughter of the late Bruce D. Hartel and Roberta (Stephen) Hartel. A graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School, she also graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass., and Springfield Technical Community College. She retired from Advances Diagnostic Radiology.  

Gale attended Our Lady of the Mountains Parish and was a member of the Civil War Trust. She was an animal lover and her passion was photography.

Gale is survived by her sisters, Hollace Albonesi and husband Donald of Naples, Fla., and Gretchen Patnode and husband David of Westhampton, Mass.; her nephew, Bryan Albonesi and wife Melissa of Norwell, Mass.; her niece Julie Phylis and husband Craig of Bedford, Mass.; as well as numerous cousins.

Funeral notice: There will be a graveside service on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Stockbridge, Mass. Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, Mass.
