Esther L. Nichlen, 60

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Esther Lorraine Nichlen, 60, of North Adams died Sunday, August 12, 2018, at BMC North. 

She was born in North Adams on July 19, 1958, a daughter of the late Maitland Richardson and Marion (LeBarnes) Richardson Forrest. Esther attended local schools, including Drury High School. 

She was employed for several years as a housekeeper at the 1896 House and for Connie's Cleaning Service. She was a member of the Northern Berkshire Women's Coalition.

Survivors include her three daughters, April McDonald, Shelly Nichlen-Little and Chastity Phoenix; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Tina Burdick, Kathleen Lear and Gina Richardson; two brothers, Edward and Timothy Richardson; and her fiance, Robert Harrington. 

She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister, Steven, Gerald and Maitland Richardson and Patricia Yartz.
