James J. Borgo Jr., 75

WORTHINGTON, Mass. — James J. Borgo Jr., 75, of Worthington died unexpectedly on September 11, 2018, at his home.

A resident of Lenox for much of his life, Jim was born on November 7, 1942, in Pittsfield, Mass., to the late James and Louise Sires Borgo. Jim attended local schools, including Lenox High School.

After high school, he worked for several years as a cook at the former Cranwell Preparatory School in Lenox and later was employed by the Town of Lenox DPW for 22 years. Jim most recently was also a cabulance driver for Berkshire/AMR Ambulance for 15 years.

Jim enjoyed hunting in his younger years and always liked to go fishing, especially with his wife, and attending functions with his beloved family. You could always catch Jim routing for his favorite New England sports teams, especially the Red Sox. Jim's dedication and love for his family and friends never went unnoticed.

James and his wife, Louise E. Blake, were married on June 27, 1987, in Lenox.

Besides his wife of Worthington, and his cat Persia, James is survived by his children, Christopher Stanton (Molly Germain) of Hinsdale and Jeffrey Stanton (Shannon) of Earlton, N.Y.; daughter-in-laws, Lori Stanton and Tammy Stanton; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brothers Donald H. Borgo (Myong N.) of Cape Coral, Fla., and Gerald D. Borgo (Carol) of Lenox; and nieces and nephews Kelly L. Streit (Martin) and grand-nieces Amanda and Dominique of Pittsfield, Donald H. Borgo Jr. and grand-nephew Justin of Cape Coral, FL., Lisa Garzone and grand-niece Samantha of Lanesborough, Melissa A. Kruse (Jeremy) and the apple of his eye, grand-nephew Jackson of Nassau, N.Y., and Jennifer L. Denovellis (Anthony) of Pittsfield.

Besides his parents, James is predeceased by two sons, Timothy Stanton Jr. and Todd Stanton; and his best furry friend BoBo.
