William D. Wnuk, 68

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. William David Wnuk, 68, of Adams died on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center in North Adams.

He was born in Adams on January 10, 1950, a son of the late Walter and Rose (Brendza) Wnuk. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams Memorial High School in 1968. Mr. Wnuk worked for General Electric Co., Lockheed Martin, Martin Marietta and General Dynamics until he retired.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking around town, traveling and trips to the casino. He loved tinkering with anything mechanical and especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Linda M. Lyden, whom he married on May 27, 1972; two sons, Robert Wnuk and Mark Wnuk, both of Adams; one daughter, Kim Wnuk of Adams; three brothers, Walter and Donald Wnuk of Adams and Thomas Wnuk of New Hampshire; two sisters, Elaine Puppolo and Victoria Morin of Adams; two grandchildren, Troy and Rachael Wnuk; a step-granddaughter Madison McLear; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Brad Wnuk, who died on July 22, 2004; and by three sisters, Dorothy Porio, Rosalie Konopka and Nancy Jamros.

Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 10 a.m. in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Monday, September 24, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests memorial donations be made to the Adams Ambulance Service, 185 Columbia St., Adams, MA 01220 or to the Alert Hose Company, 3 Columbia St., Adams, MA 01220.
