Nancy M. Bertelli, 80

LEE, Mass. — Nancy M. Bertelli, 80, formerly of Prospect Street, Lee, died Saturday evening, November 3, 2018, at the Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox.

Nancy was born in Lee on October 16, 1938, the daughter of Earl and Ethel Sour Drumm. She was raised in Lee and attended Lee Schools.

She married Robert A. Bertelli on August 7, 1954. He died March 7, 2001.

Mrs. Bertelli worked as a personal care assistant for many years for private families, and in her earlier career, at the former Berkshire Hills North Nursing Home in Lee. In her younger years, Mrs. Bertelli enjoyed horseback riding and square dancing. She had enjoyed gardening, crafting, rooting for the Red Sox, and spending time with her family. Nancy also had a keen eye for interior decorating. She had also been a member of the former St. George’s Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Bertelli leaves behind two sons, Robert E. Bertelli of Arizona and Scott D. Bertelli and his wife, Dawn, of Lenox Dale; two daughters, Lynn M. Bertelli and her husband, Alan Wilcox, of Tyringham and Kim C. Bertelli-Hunt and her husband, Steve Hunt, of Richmond; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Mary Cardarelli of Chester and Sandra Townsend of Lee.

Besides her husband, Nancy was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Bertelli in 1985; her grandson, Caleb Cabral in 2018; her three brothers, Elbert D. Drumm, Elbert D. “Sonny” Drumm, and Earl M. Drumm; and her two sisters, Janet D. Brazee and Bernice E. Sohl.

Funeral notice: Funeral services for Nancy M. Bertelli will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Janet McKinstry, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. 

A visiting hour will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may make a donation to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
