NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Hope Ann Benoit, 22, of North Adams died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on Oct. 24, 1990, daughter of Leslie Benoit Durocher and of Robert Erdeski Sr., both of North Adams, she attended schools in North Adams and graduated in 2009 from McCann Technical School, where she played on the varsity soccer team. She also attended Southern Vermont College in Bennington and Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield.
Ms. Benoit was employed at The Porches and had worked at Williamstown Commons as a certified nursing assistant. While at the nursing home, she was honored for her hard work and received an award for her dedication.
She was a member of Florida Baptist Church. She had been active in the Greylock Theater Project doing "one on one" plays. She enjoyed her work and adored her brother.
Besides her parents, she leaves her brother, Robert Erdeski Jr., her grandmother, Judith Wyman of North Adams, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A funeral service for Ms. Benoit will take place Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at 1 p.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made through the funeral home.
