CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Phyllis Lorraine Chase Parker Foisy, 86, of 570 North Eagle St. died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Williamstown Commons with her husband of 47 years, Hector J. "Bill" Foisy, at her side.
Born in North Adams on June 9, 1927, daughter of Lea Chase Remillard, she graduated from the former Adams High School.
Mrs. Foisy was employed by the former Roberts Co. on Main Street in North Adams for 20 years, until her retirement. She had earlier worked at the former Brightwater Paper Co. in Adams and the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams and enjoyed knitting, reading and traveling.
Her first husband, Stanley Parker, is deceased.
Besides her husband, whom she married on July 23, 1966, she also leaves her dear aunt, Helen Reid, and cousin Hilke Hoefer, both of Dunkirk, Md.; a brother-in-law, Leonard Foisy of Adams; a sister-in-law, M. Blanche Russett of Williamstown, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Foisy will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Adams Ambulance Service in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
|Phyllis was a great traveling companion on our buying trips for Roberts Co. She was a lovely lady and I'm glad that I knew her.|
