Elizabeth Murphy, 67
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Dix Murphy, 67, of 27 Palmer Ave., died Friday, May 16, 2014, at home.
Born in North Adams on Jan. 2, 1947, daughter of Rose Cirullo LeBeau of North Adams and the late Albert LeBeau, she graduated from Drury High School.
Ms. Murphy was last employed at the former Cordmaster. Before that she was employed at the former Sprague Electric and General Cable companies.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and daughter. She enjoyed vacationing at the ocean with her family, doing ceramics and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her mother, she leaves two daughters, Becky Dix of Clarksburg and Brenda Piantoni and her husband, Joseph, of North Adams; a son John Dix III of North Adams; two sisters, Mina Snow of North Adams and Susan DeSanty and her husband, Robert, of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Nathan and Lindsey Piantoni; nieces and nephews, and her former husbands John Dix Jr. of Clarksburg and William Murphy of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Ms. Murphy will take place Wednesday, May 21, at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St. North Adams. Burial will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11 to 1 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested for her grandchildren's education fund through the funeral home.
