Barbara A. Levesque, 67

ADAMS, Mass. — Barbara A. Levesque, 67, of 17 Pleasant St., died Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at the Brigham & Woman's Hospital in Boston surrounded by her family. Born in Springfield on Aug. 2, 1947, daughter of Edwin H. and Janet Kordana DeGray, she attended Adams-Cheshire Regional Schools and earned her bachelor's degree in 2005 from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at the age of 57, an accomplishment of which she was extremely proud. Ms. Levesque was last employed by the Brien Center and Jo Ann Fabrics in Pittsfield. Earlier, she held employment at Louison House and the former James River Corp. in Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cross-stitching, playing cards, line dancing and spending time with her family and friends. A lover of animals, especially her cats, she was a warm soul full of care and compassion, made friends wherever she went and could brighten anyone's day with her smile. She leaves her son, Todd Levesque and his wife, Kate, of Littleton; two brothers, Richard DeGray and his wife, Melissa Galanes, of Brattleboro, Vt., and Thomas DeGray and his wife, Debra, of North Adams; two granddaughters, Delaney and Kaelyn Levesque of Littleton, a niece, Sarah DeGray of Burlington, Vt., and her very beloved cat Milo. FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Ms. Levesque will take place Sunday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. from Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, with the Rev. Steven Montesanti, pastor of Parish of Blessed John Paul, officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday evening at the funeral home from 4 until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in care of the funeral home.
