Ruth E. Lisee, 86
ADAMS, Mass. — Ruth E. Lisee, 86, of 17 Mill St. died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, peacefully in her sleep at her home.
Born in Williamstown on March 3, 1928, daughter of Levi Elmer Harding and Hazel Etta Works Harding Mangano, she attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School.
Mrs. Lisee assisted her husband, George A. Lisee, in the operation of Lisee Electric Co. for many years, until her retirement. She also had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. for a short time. She
She was a lifelong communicant of St. John Paul II Church in Adams. She was a member of Weight Watchers and enjoyed walking at least 5 miles every day.
Some of her favorite pastimes were reading Danielle Steele and Nora Roberts novels and watching "Dr. Phil" and "Family Feud" on television.
She took great pride in her appearance and maintaining her home. She was a devoted wife and mother and looked forward to dining out every weekend with her husband.
Besides her husband, whom she married on May 30, 1950, she leaves a son, John A. Lisee of Adams; five sisters, Jane Kanelos of Pittsfield, Barbara Donovan of Adams, Nancy Grady of Williamstown, Kimberly Harding Slade of Dalton and Wendy Harding of North Adams; one brother, Donald Harding of Jupiter, Fla., and nieces and nephews.
Her brothers Robert Harding and William Harding and her stepmother, Eva Harding, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Lisee will be Wednesday, Oct.8, at 9 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 74 Marshall St.,North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. John Paul II Church in Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.
