Patricia M. Winters, 84
HANCOCK, Mass. — Patricia M. Winters, 84, of Hancock Road died on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at home.
Born at her grandmother's home in Bennington, Vt., on Oct. 26, 1930, a daughter of John and Lillian Leonard Watts, she grew up and attended schools in Pownal, Vt.
Mrs. Winters and her late husband, Warren W. Winters Sr., owned and operated Fales Motel from 1966 to 1973. She was trained as a home-maker health aide in 1980 and worked as an aide for several years. She was a natural caregiver and truly enjoyed caring for others.
She was a member of Hancock Baptist Church for many years. Most recently she attended the Blackinton Union Church in North Adams.
Her husband, whom she married Oct. 5, 1947, died Feb. 11, 2014.
A devoted mother, she leaves three daughters, Linda Beverly and her husband, Mark, of Advance, N.C., Priscilla Eggerth and her husband, Chuck, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and
Lydia Cassavaugh and her husband, Don, of Hancock; two sons, Warrren W. Winters Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Southwick and Samuel Winters and his wife, Tammy, of Hancock; a sister, Virginia Brookman of Pownal, Vt., 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sisters Lillian and Dawn.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Winters' life will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. the Hancock Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Kemp officiating. Private burial will take place in Hancock Cemetery.
She went to be with her Lord and Savior.
