I wanted you to know how much I thought of Joan. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked under her in afterschool when she took over. She hired me when I really needed it and made me feel like me contribution was truly immportnat. She was a very sweet and genuine individual. I wasn't teaching at the time, but now have been teacing for almost 12 years. I am lucky to have known her.
