Lucille J. Bowser, 89
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Lucille Jane Bowser, 89, formerly of Green River Road, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Reading on July 4, 1925, daughter of Sherburne Jarvis and Effie Mae Dunton Watts, she attended schools in Reading. She also attended Columbia University and graduated from Simmons College in Boston.
Mrs. Bowser believed in the highest potential of human kind to benefit one another. She found inspiration from the beauty with in the world and from those she loved.
Compassionate, she gave her love freely and often, said family, and her love for life was contagious. Always learning and giving, she exuded warmth and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
An avid reader, she shared her extraordinary adventurous spirit through travel and by experiencing other cultures. She enjoyed swimming in the ocean, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and was a passionate gardener.
Mrs. Bowser also treasured time with her friends, on the tennis court, in the pottery studio, and supporting the arts in the community.
Her husband, Richard Leigh Bowser, predeceased her, as well as a sister.
She leaves three daughters, Nancy Watts Fitzgerald of South Wardsboro, Vt., Sube Bowser of Deer Isle, Maine, and Emmy Bowser-Dadak and her husband, Stephen Dadak, of Adams; three grandchildren, Dawn E. Fitzgerald and her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Becker, Maxwell John Carroll and Kalvin Dziedziak; and two great-grandchildren, Henry and Eloise.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Services for Mrs. Bowser will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
