Charlotte A. Meacham, 82
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Charlotte Anne Meacham, 82, died peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Sweet Brook Care Centers.
Born in Williamstown on June 23, 1932, daughter of Everett and Mildred Hopkins Miller, she was a lifetime resident of Williamstown until moving to Florida in 2010.
Mrs. Meacham will be remembered for her love of nature. She was a joyful bird watcher, and loved growing flowers. Jensen Beach, Fla., her second home, brought with it lifelong friends to her and her husband, James E. Meacham, and they loved exploring Florida together.
Her husband died in 1998.
She leaves her five daughters, Elizabeth Sperlonga and Mary Belcher, both of Lanesborough, Nancy Macauley of Pittsfield, Barbara Peterson of Stephentown, N.Y., and Patricia Tower of Woodbury, Conn.; a son, Richard Macauley of Edmonds, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, Torey Sperlonga, Brittney Tooley, Shaun Tooley, Safari Wallace, Rebecca Oberwager, Jeremy Weeks, Jason Macauley, Clarence Peterson III, Krista Wolffer-Pickett, Lisa Macauley, Joseph Macauley; and six great-grandchildren, Gemma Quinto, Molly Weeks, Mary Weeks, Brianna Tooley, Kayla Macauley and Alys Macauley.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The family will hold a private memorial gathering at a later date. There will be no calling hours, and the family has requested that contributions in memory of Mrs. Meacham be made to Jensen Beach Community Church, 3900 NE Skyline Drive, Jensen Beach, FL, 34957.
