Carol Joyce Ogert, 77
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Carol Joyce Ogert, 77, of Rockland Road, North Scituate, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Woodpecker Hill Health Center in Greene, R.I.
Born in North Adams in 1938, a daughter of Hebert and Laura Estes Hemenway, she moved to North Scituate in 1960.
Mrs. Ogert had been a loan officer with the former Fleet National Bank for 25 years before retiring.
She had been a member of Greenville (R.I.) Baptist Church and of the Red Hatters Society.
She and her husband, Howard H. Ogert, were married Aug. 23, 1958.
Besides her husband of 56 years, she leaves two daughters, Debra Arnold and her husband, Russell, of Searsport, Maine, and Holly Weidele of North Scituate; a son, Jeffrey Ogert of North Scituate; a brother, Hebert Hemenway of Beverly; three sisters, Bonnie Faerber of Camphill, Pa., Nancy Martin of Northampton and Sally Batura of Florence; six grandchildren, Laura Weeks and her husband, Brian, of Franklin, Lindsay Anderson and her husband, Brian, of Warwick, Valerie Hanson of Medford, and William Ogert, Renee Weidele and Heidi Weidele, all of North Scituate, and two great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Anderson of Warwick and Leonard Weeks of Franklin.
Her sisters Laura Gagnon, Virginia Jennings and Teresa Yahemiack are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral service for Mrs. Ogert will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in the Greenville Baptist Church, 582 Putnam Pike, Greenville, R.I. Burial will be Friday, May 1, at 11 in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 29, from 4 to 7 at Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
