Isabel Mary Superneau, 89

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Isabel Mary Superneau, 89, of Hall Street died at her home on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015. Born in North Adams on May 12, 1926, a daughter of Howard and Ida Day Gaun, she attended schools in Clarksburg. Mrs. Superneau was employed for many years at the lunch counter of the former JJ Newberry's on Main Street. She enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, baking, word puzzles and playing cards. Her greatest joy was being a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her husband, Kenneth D. Superneau, whom she married on June 18, 1989, died on Dec. 31, 2014. She leaves three sons, Mark Daub of Texas and Richard Daub and Keith Daub, both of North Adams; three stepdaughters, Kathleen Ballou of Monroe, Marleen Superneau of North Adams and Diane Copper of Newburyport; a stepson, Richard Superneau and his wife, Helen, of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Kellie Herzberg and Michele Francoeur, and great-grandchildren, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Eleanor Underwood, and her brother, Harold Gaun. FUNERAL NOTICE — A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Superneau will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. A private burial will be held in the Clarksburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made in through the funeral home.
