Kathy Mae Orell, 51

POWNAL, Vt. — Kathy Mae Orell, 51, of Blake Drive died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center. Born in North Adams, Mass., on Sept. 19, 1964, a daughter of Arthur Johnson of New Ashford and Angie Patton Johnson Morin of Cheshire, she graduated from Mount Greylock High School with the class of 1982. Ms. Orell was an accomplished artist and loved to draw. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Besides her father and his wife, Nancy Walker, and her mother and her husband, Kenneth, she leaves her son, Kevin Orell and his wife, Rachel, of Shaftsbury, Vt.; three sisters, Karen, Kelly and Karla, and her former husband, Robert Orell. FUNERAL NOTICE — At Ms. Orell's request there will be no funeral services or calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.

To all of Kathy's family, my deepest sympathy for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget Kathy's beautiful smile, her laugh and her incredible sense of humor. She brought so much light to Nancy's life during such a difficult time. I feel so lucky I had the chance to have lunch with Kathy this past summer and get to know her better. She was a truly beautiful person.
