Clarence W. Ritcher, 77
CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Clarence Walter Ritcher, 77, of 36 Demers Ave. died on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at North Adams Commons.
Born in Clarksburg on April 2, 1938, a son of Elroy and Ada Braman LaRoche Raymond Ritcher, he attended schools in North Adams.
He was a veteran of the Air Force.
Mr. Ritcher was employed at General Electric Co. for more than 25 years.
He was a member to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
He and his wife, the former Betty Ann Bostwick, were married on Jan. 23, 1960, at Stamford (Vt.) Community Church.
Besides his wife, he also leaves two sons, Allen Ritcher and his wife, Irene of Woodstock, Conn., and Darrin Ritcher and his wife, Angie, of Greenfield; two daughters, Dawn Valotta and her husband, Michael, of Clarksburg and Christine Whiteman and her husband, Michael, of Canaan, N.Y.; a sister, Caroline Brazeau of North Adams and 19 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Michael Ritcher; great-granddaughter Lily Ann Luczynski; seven brothers, Theodore and Henry Raymond, Arthur, Robert, Calvin and Alfred Ritcher, and Sonny Laroche, and two sisters, Veronica Crockwell and Anna Laroche.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Calling hours for Mr. Ritcher will take place on Friday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 8 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams.
Donations may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in North Adams or the Western Mass Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home.
