Joy Jansen-Durant, 40

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Joy Jean Jansen-Durant, 40, of Hoosac Street, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

Born in Pittsfield on June 17, 1975, a daughter of Russell Jansen and of Bonnie Baker Patella, she attended schools in Dalton, graduating from Wahconah Regional High School. She then attended Mildred Elley School, from which she received an associate's degree in medical assisting.  

Ms. Jansen-Durant was employed by Williamstown Medical Associates as a medical assistant.

Besides her parents, she leaves her husband, Mark Durant; three children, Kayla Jansen and Devin and Jammie Durant; and two brothers, Jeremy Jansen and Skyler Poplaski.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Ms. Jansen-Durant will be held Sunday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m. at the Eagles' Hall in North Adams. Donations in her memory may be made to Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
