Vickey M. Boucher, 53

ADAMS, Mass. — Vickey M. Boucher, 53, of 37 Bellevue Ave., died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at the Berkshire Medical Center Satellite Emergency Facility in North Adams.

Born in Adams on June 9, 1962, daughter of Walter and Grace Lee Martin, she attended Adams schools and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in 1980. She also attended the former North Adams State College and the University of Massachusetts. She later graduated from the McCann Technical School surgical technician program.

Mrs. Boucher was employed as a surgical technician at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield until she retired in 1999 because of her health. She first worked for the Adams Youth Center for several years, and then for the children's center at the YMCA in Pittsfield,

She was an avid Red Sox, New England Patriots fan, and had a great love for animals.

She and her husband, Mark C. Boucher, were married on June 15, 1984.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sisters, Hiedi E Boucher of Fountain Inn, S.C., and Tammy Samson and her husband, John, of Adams; three sisters-in-law, Laurie Ann Briggs of the town of Florida, Serena Cimini of Pittsfield and Denise Meranti of North Adams; a brother-in-law, Jeffrey Boucher of North Adams, several nieces and nephews and two grandnieces.

She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Steven L. Boucher of Fountain Inn.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Boucher will take place Thursday, Jan. 28, at noon from Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Heart Association or Canine Companions for Independence in care of the funeral home.
