Mellisa Ann Roy, 56
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mellisa Ann Roy, 56, of North Adams, died on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at home.
Born in North Adams on June 12, 1959, the daughter of Theodore and Frances Morse Sprague, she attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1978.
Mrs. Roy was employed by Williams College in its Dining Services for more than 20 years. Prior to that, she worked at the former Sprague Electric.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and employee.
She married George Jeffrey Roy on May 2, 1981, in the former Holy Family Church.
She leaves her loving children, a son, Chad Roy of Pittsfield; three daughters, Karisa Miranda-Ruiz and Chelsey Roy, both of North Adams, and Kaitlin Roy of Cambridge N.Y.; two sisters, Michele Noyes and Sherry Sprague; and her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Amanda Mclenithan, Natalia Roy, Mackenzie Ruiz, Ava Ruiz, Bryson Logan, and Carlos Ruiz.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Roy will be celebrated on Monday, Feb.1, at 6 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 6 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home.
