Mary (Mae) Reynolds, 100

ADAMS, Mass. — On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the age of 100 years, Mary (Mae) Reynolds peacefully passed over from this life to join her loving husband, Eddie, who she lost in 1941, her parents John and Margaret Greene, her sister Verlie Green Andrews and Verlie’s husband John, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and her grandchildren Jimmy and Jeff Tyler.  

She leaves her son John and his wife Johann; her nephew Bill Andrews and his wife Barbara; her nephew Bill Johnson and his wife Candi; her niece Donna Penczar and her husband Walt; her grandchildren John Tyler and Jennifer Mulling; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
 
She was born on January 3, 1916 in Clarksburg. She attended Houghtonville Grammar School in Clarksburg and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams and Bay Path Institute in Springfield. She married Edward Reynolds and lived in Orange until his death. 
 
She returned to Northern Berkshire, where she worked at the Hooker Chemical Company and North Adams State College until her retirement in 1982. While in the Berkshires, she was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was a member of the St. Francis Rosary Society and a member of its bowling team.  She enjoyed gardening, walking and travel. To be near John and Johann, she moved to Frederick, Md., where she lived in the Country Meadows Retirement Community. 
 
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mae Reynolds will be celebrated Monday, May 2, 2016, at 11: a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She will be buried in Southview cemetery next to her husband. 
 
A calling hour will be held on Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams. A memorial service will be held in Frederick at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
