Mildred M. Dulin, 87
LEE, Mass. — Mildred M. Dulin, 87, of Navin Avenue in Lee, died Sunday, May 8, 2016, at home with her family at her side.
Born April 15, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Albert and Carrie Carter Gates, she was educated in the local schools there.
Soon after moving to Lee in the 1950s, Millie began her 46 years of service with the Lee Library Association as an assistant librarian.
Millie was a member of St. Mary’s Church, a faithful devotee to Our Lady’s Oratory, a member of the St. Mary/St. Martha Sodality and was a founding member of the Lee Youth Association.
Mrs. Dulin leaves behind two sons, James A. Dulin of North Bennington, Vt., and Edward T. Dulin of Manchester, Vt.; one daughter, Ann LaBier and her husband Warren of Lee; seven grandchildren, Ian, Kelsi, Avery, Brian and his wife Alicia, John Paul and his wife Stephanie, Amanda and Nathan; four great-grandchildren, Boston, Asher, Isla and Declan; nieces Patricia Romano and her husband Stephen and Karen Bannon; and her nephew Richard Bannon and his partner Michelle Baker.
Funeral notice: Millie’s family will receive friends and relatives in celebration of her life on Thursday, May 12, from 4 to7 p.m. at the Kelly Funeral Home at 3 Main St. in Lee. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Lee. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations in Millie’s honor to the Lee Library Association, Hospice Care in the Berkshires or the Lee Food Pantry, all in care of Kelly Funeral Home.
