Anita T. Molleur, 95

ADAMS, Mass. — Anita Theresa (Mulcahy) Molleur, 95, of Adams died Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Williamstown Commons.

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on July 12, 1920, daughter of Charles M. and Florence E. (Perreault) Mulcahy. She attended local schools and completed the Commercial Course at the former Notre Dame Parochial School.

Before her marriage, she was employed at the Sprague Electric Co.  Anita was primarily a homemaker, devoted to her family.  After the death of her husband, she worked in the office of the Adams Laundry Co.

She attended the Notre Dame Church in Adams. Anita was a member of the Adams Quilters and enjoyed walking, reading and quilting. She especially enjoyed crossword puzzles and word games.

She was the widow of Arthur J. Molleur, who died on October 23, 1969. They were married on August 5, 1939.

Survivors include two sons, Michael J. Molleur and his wife Theresa of Adams and Joseph A. Molleur of Chandler, Ariz; three daughters, Diane N. Lawson and her husband Dennis of Adams, Kathleen J. Jordan and her husband Mark of Adams and Mary C. Molleur of North Adams; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, George E. Mulcahy of Adams; three sisters, Jane Lancto of Bowling Green, Va., Virginia Cordingley of East Weymouth, Mass., and Joyce Melillo of Adams; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Four brothers are deceased, including John, Charles, Richard and Peter.  

Funeral notice: The funeral for Anita Molleur will be Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.  

A calling hour will be held Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth Freeman Center in care of the funeral home.
