Francis A. Curro Sr., 88

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Francis A. Curro, 88, died Friday, May 27, 2016. 

Born May 11, 1928, the son of Joseph Curro and Anna Monito Curro, he was a graduate of Pittsfield Central High School. 

Mr. Curro worked at The Berkshire Gas Company for 44 years as supervisor of the street department. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, vacations at the sea shore, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Geraldine Roberge Curro; a brother Vincent Curro; and a grandson, Patrick J. Curro. 

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Richardson and her husband John of Pittsfield; three sons, Francis Curro Jr. and his wife Susan of Pittsfield, Paul Curro and his wife Margaret of Pittsfield, and John Curro and his wife Marybeth of Dalton; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Michael, David, Eric, Lisa, Kristin, Katelyn, Meghan, Kevin and Andrew; six great-grandchildren, Ella, Noah, Mae, Sam, Jaden and Michael; and a brother, Joseph Curro and his wife Martha. 

Funeral notice: Funeral Services tor Francis A. Curro will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, at Sacred Heart Church in Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. celebrated by the Rev. Michael Bernier, pastor. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
