Born in Otis on September 9, 1916, to Chester and Ida Bliven Snow, he attended school in Otis and was a 1935 graduate of Lee High School. In 2015 he was presented the Boston Post Cane, which recognized him as the oldest person in Otis.

He and Eleanor enjoyed traveling to California, Florida and to their special place, White Village, on Cape Cod. Most of all, he loved his family and the home he built for them.

He leaves his two daughters, Jeanette Spalinger and her husband Richard of Lee, and Virginia Bartini, also of Lee. A third daughter, Lucy Ann Snow McDonald, predeceased him in 2005. He was also predeceased by his siblings Ruth Rowley, Edith Lewis, Lawrence Snow and Ida Strickland, and by his son-in-law, James Bartini.

Chester also leaves seven grandchildren, Sherri LePrevost and Kelly McDonald Hammerle of Otis; Brian Bartini, Shannon Hughes and James Bartini of Lee; Daniel Spalinger of Windham, N.H., and Michael Spalinger of Torrington, Conn. He was very proud that he also had 12 great-grandchildren.
