Richard Hoctor, 75
LEE, Mass. — Richard F. Hoctor, 75, of Maple Street died Saturday, July 9, 2016, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Pittsfield on May 7, 1941, the son of James and Stella Lingoski Hoctor, and was a 1961 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
After his graduation he worked for the Adams Super Market in both Pittsfield and Lee for 23 years. He was last employed as a custodian for the Berkshire Hills Regional Schools in Great Barrington.
He enjoyed music, record and coin collecting, bowling and dancing and was a devoted Red Sox fan.
Dick leaves his wife, the former Kathleen M. Roosa, whom he married Sept. 16, 1978; his three sons, Michael R. Hoctor, Douglas J. Hoctor and his fiancée Jen Donovan and Daniel P. Hoctor, all of Lee; his sister Joanne Marran and her husband Dick of Hinsdale; six grandchildren, Maya, James, Elijah, Cadence, Alyssa and Michael; and stepsisters and stepbrothers, Jane and Clifford Carmel, Jack and Barbara Comalli, Tom and Faye Comalli, and Jim and Sandy Comalli.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Timothy and James, his sister Sylvia Mitchell and his stepfather, Bondi Comalli.
Funeral notice: The funeral for Richard F. Hoctor, who died Saturday, July 9, will be held Wednesday, July 13, at 9:15 a.m. from the Kelly Funeral Home with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lenox with the Rev. Janet Deranian, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Lee.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, July 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friends wishing may make donations to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the Kelly Funeral Home at 3 Main St. Lee, MA 01238.
