PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Lisa A, MacDowell, 51, of Pittsfield died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016.

Born September 20, 1964, the daughter of James Chague and Mary Rogers Chague, she grew up in Lenox and attended Lenox Memorial High School.

Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family and loved listening to the music of Guns and Roses and recently fulfilled a life-long dream of seeing them in concert with her twin sister Karen and her niece Skye.

Besides her mother, Mary Chague, and her father, James Chague, both of Lee, Lisa leaves her three sons, Jason and his wife Nicole, Robin and Brandon, all of Pittsfield; two brothers, James Chague and Eugene Chague; four sisters, her identical twin sister Karen Sutton and her husband Ed, Melissa Scolforo and her husband Mike, Teresa Hutchinson and Pamela Cutt; two granddaughters, Reese and Mariah; one grandchild who is due to be born in February; her nieces, Ocean, Skye, Brittany, Rose and Angel; her great-nieces Armoni and Annleis; a great-nephew, Edwin; and her partner of 25 years, David Carlo.

Funeral notice: A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 15, at 10 a.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox. In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may make a donation in Lisa’s name to St. Ann’s Parish in care of the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.

Blessings to Lisa and her Family and Friends,? We met her 2x and knew her common law husband David Carlo (Footsie aka)Very well .. it was Wonderful to see just How Much David/Footsie Loved Lisa?,even when apart at times his Love and Good and Charitable Words and Thoughts for Lisa Never Waivered. Footsie was a Loyal friend of the Marona Family as the Carlo Family were dear friends to us. It was Very evident to ALL that Lisa had a Beautiful Spirit and Qualities if someone as Loyal as David Carlo thought so Veryyy much of Lisa ,and Continued to Love her over 3 decades. It was Hysterical to see them bicker like a Couple who had been 2gether for 100 years.! David N. Carlo ('Footsie') passed away this Saturday ,September 21st., 2023, so he can now see his beloved Lisa and continue their banter in the hands and care of the Good Lord Almighty and watch over all their Loved 0nes. I really didn't know Lisa, but I knew her husband, or partner David Carlo.! And he truly loved Lisa McDowell. I felt like I knew her because he spoke often of her, and with great love and affection for her. It was lovely to hear a man speak about his wife from the heart. I was with somebody who I loved, but it wasn't to be. It took me back to the times I was a little girl and my mother read me stories about Snow White and told me I'd meet my prince someday that would really love me. My point is, some of us go through life never really knowing what true love is! It is not guaranteed nor promised but when we're all young for some reason we all believe we will meet the person of our dreams, get married or live happily ever after and grow old with someone that loves us. It was a wonderful to see how much and hear how much Lisa was loved, truly loved by David Carlo. Oh I'm sure her family loved her very much and she loved them. But we're not related do our partners or husbands and wives, we picked them for they pick us. I wish that everybody had someone that truly love them from the bottom of their heart like Lisa was loved by David. I wish that kind of love for everybody. She was a special person
