Patricia R. Brassard, 66
ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Patricia Rose (Krzanik) Brassard, 66, of Adams died early Sunday morning, September 11, 2016, at her home.
She was born in Adams on September 6, 1950, a daughter of the late Aldo and Cecelia (Duda) Krzanik. She attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School, and graduated from the former Adams High School with the Class of 1968. She also attended Berkshire Community College.
Pat last worked as an Administrative Assistant at General Dynamics and its predecessor, General Electric Co. until retiring in 2012 after 42 years of service.
She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, where she was a former member of its parish council, and also attended St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. She was a member of the St. John Paul II Rosary Sodality and had been an active member of the vigil group at St. Stanislaus Church during its temporary closure.
She enjoyed walking, gardening, traveling, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed taking her grandson out and spending time with her family.
Her husband, Ronald A. "Oval" Brassard, whom she married on June 28, 1974, died on April 21, 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Erik Brassard and Adam Brassard and his wife Terese both of Adams; her sister, Carol Thomas and her husband Terry of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandson, Justin; her step-grandchildren, Brody and Easton; a niece, Katie Thomas; a nephew, Ryan Thomas and his wife, Kelly, all of Florida; and her grandnephews, Blake and Brandon Thomas of Florida.
Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 8 a.m. from the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Members of the St. John Paul Rosary Sodality will meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. to pay their respects and conduct their prayer service.
