Richard H. Koloc Sr., 72

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Richard Henry Koloc Sr., 72, of North Adams died Monday, September 19, 2016 at his home.

He was born in North Adams on January 27, 1944 son of Henry I. and Helen (Eldridge) Koloc.  He attended Drury High School.

Richard was last employed by Sprague Electric Co on Brown Street until his retirement. Prior to that, he worked for his father at K&M Motors for many years. Richard enjoyed working on cars and working in his yard.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Ann (Banas) Koloc, whom he married on December 16, 1961; two daughters, Deborah Trybus of Lanesborough and Cindy Koloc of Cheshire; two sons, Richard H. Koloc Jr. of Franklin, N.H., and Timothy J. Koloc Sr. of North Adams; seven grandchildren, including Nicole Gallese, Kevin Gallese, Brian Gallese, Brittany Cardinal, Brooke Kraft, Timothy J. Koloc Jr. and Alyse J. Koloc; two great-grandchildren, including Parker Gallese and Ruby Fachini; three sisters, including Nancy Koloc and Virginia Kondel of North Adams and Linda O'Keefe of Hudson, N.H.; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frederick Koloc.
