Carole A. Drosehn, 74

DALTON, Mass. — After a battle with cancer, Carole Drosehn died on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her home in Dalton at the age of 74.

Carole was born on October 16, 1941, in Pittsfield, Mass., to Francis Young and Pearl Young, who predeceased her. She grew up in a loving family in Becket, Mass.

Carole married Bruce Drosehn on October 29, 1966. For over 20 years she was a care and respite provider for Specialized Home Care.

Carole was so warm and full of love by sending out her caring and positive vibes to everyone around her. She didn't care about vanity but spread her love throughout her world. When diagnosed with cancer, she remained dedicated in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, silent warrior, even throughout her final months. Hers was a life made beautiful by kindly deeds, a helping hand for others' needs. To a beautiful life, comes a happy end; she died as she lived, everyone's friend.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by her daughter Tracy; her sons Johnny, Kevin, Keith and David; her grandchildren, Ricarda, Tommy, Sean, Jenna and Stephen; her brothers, Hap and his wife Faye and David and his wife Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Danny.
