Raymond M. Lee, 79
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Raymond Morey Lee, 79, of Natick, and formerly of Pittsfield and North Adams, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Born in Pittsfield on July 20, 1933, a son of Roy V. and Anna I. Brewer Lee, he attended schools in Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School.
He was a decorated Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Lee had owned a fruit stand on State Road and was employed in the construction industry for many years. He was involved in several projects in the area including the Bear Swamp hydroelectric project.
A devoted family man and hard worker, taking care of his family was very important to him. His favorite quote was "Don't worry about it." He was a member of Dr. George L. Curran VFW Post 996 in North Adams.
He leaves his former wife, Ann Costello Lee of Daytona Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Patricia Allison and Debbie Swenson, both of Daytona Beach, and Tammie Lee of Pittsfield; four grandchildren, Brandie Lee Langfield of Natick who was his caregiver, Aleisha Radke, Augustino Allison and Santino Allison, two great-grandchildren, Olivia Lee Langfield and Paige RayAnne Langfield and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Bower, and brother, William Lee.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Mr. Lee will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church on Park Street in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
