 NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lorraine Frances Davis, 94, of 128 Protection Ave., died on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on March 7, 1918, daughter of Henry and Fannie Underwood Wright, she attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School in 1936. She had resided in Colrain at one time.
Mrs. Davis was employed at Cascade Paper Co. for 20 years until her retirement. She began her employment at the Whitcomb Summit and local theaters in the area. She also worked at the former Lilly's Music House and J.C. Penney, both on Main Street.
She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and of Colrain Community Church, when she resided in that town. She was a former member of Order of Eastern Star.
Her husband, James Davis, whom she married on May 25, 1937, in Berlin, N.Y., died Aug. 9, 1977.
She leaves her two daughters, Nancy Waltermire and her husband, Robert, and Carol Morandi and her husband, Francis, all of North Adams; six grandchildren, Myra Wilk, Martha Storey and her husband, Tom, James Waltermire and his wife, Lisa, Karl Waltermire and his wife, Gabrielle, Robert David Waltermire Jr. and his wife, Lynn, and Francis Morandi Jr. and his wife, Rachel, as well as nine great grandchildren.
Her brother, Howard F. Wright, and sister, Edith M. Mutart, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral service for Mrs. Davis will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be at a later date in the Southview Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 10 to 11 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Springfield or All Saints Church of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.

Bob and I are so very sorry to hear of Aunt Lorraine's passing. But we are happy to have had the opportunity to visit with her last week on our trip back to Massachusetts. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
