Olive G. Dragotta, 93

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Olive Grace Dragotta, 93, of 17 Watson St. died Thursday Jan. 3, 2013, at North Adams Commons. Born at home in the city's Blackinton section on Sept. 16, 1919, daughter of Peter and Maude Kirby LaBeau, she attended the former Archer and Holy Family schools and Drury High School. Mrs. Dragotta was employed by Excelsior Printing Co. for many years until her retirement. She was a communicant of the former Holy Family Church. She loved animals and also enjoyed painting. She and her husband, Joseph J. Dragotta, were married on May 10, 1957. Besides her husband of 55 years, she leaves a daughter, Cheri Dragotta of North Adams; a son, Norman Gelinas of Adams; two grandchildren, Bruce Gelinas of Adams and Wayne Gelinas of New Hampshire; two great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was predeased her four sisters Mary Lincoln, Ellen Orell, Ora Haggerty, Dorothy Marsden, and brothers Peter and Henry LeBeau. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Dragotta will be Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 8:15 a.m. fromFlynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, Jan. 7, from 4 to 6:30 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
