Rose Marie Bard, 91

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Rose Marie Bard, 91, of 86 Furnace St. died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.

Born in North Adams on Feb. 15, 1921, daughter of Giuseppe and Antoinette Mondero DeMarco, she attended North Adams schools.

Mrs. Bard was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. and, before that, at the former Gale Shoe Co.

She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and enjoyed baking.

Her husband, Vernon "Buddy" Bard, whom she married on Dec. 11, 1943, died Dec. 17, 1989.

She leaves her brother, John DeMarco of Michigan, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also leaves her caregivers, Robert and Carol Lemaire, and her "grandkids" Jessica and Sarah.

Her siblings Lucy Darling, Josephine Greenbush, Margaret Sherman and Anthony and Carmen DeMarco predeceased her.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Bard will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 11 from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
