Richard D. Bruno, 56

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Richard D. "Dickie" Bruno, 56, of 115 Howard St. died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center after suffering a heart attack.

Born in Pittsfield on July 24, 1956, son of Ralph "Bubby" Bruno Sr. and Frances Koza Bruno, he graduated from Taconic High School with the class of 1974.

Mr. Bruno was self-employed as an expert tradesman and stonemason. He also was an accomplished musician and lead guitarist.

He enjoyed fishing and gardening. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing pool.

He leaves a daughter, Amanda Sweeney and her husband, John, of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Joseph Daniels and Shane Bruno, both of Pittsfield; four brothers, Ronald Bruno, Robert Bruno and William Bruno, all of Pittsfield, and Ralph "Bubby" Bruno Jr. of Springfield; a sister, Lori Ann Bruno of Montreal; a granddaughter, Riley Daniels; his girlfriend of eight years, Teresa Clancy-Fontaine and her children Kristen Fontaine and Dell Fontaine, all of Pittsfield; his former wife, Debra Fountain of Otis, and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Bruno will be Thursday morning, Feb. 14, at 9:15 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 from St. Mark's Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
