Catherine F. Shepard, 95
ADAMS, Mass. — Catherine Frances Shepard, 95, of Adams, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at North Adams Commons.
Born in Adams on Nov. 22, 1930, daughter of George and Julia Kearns Conroy, she attended local schools and graduated from the former Adams High School.
Mrs. Shepard was employed in the X-ray department at the former North Adams Regional Hospital. She had first worked at the former Adams Print Works.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul.
Her husband, Woodrow Wilson Shepard, whom she married on April 10,1950, died on Nov. 26, 1987.
She leaves her son, Gary A. Shepard of Wilbraham; two granddaughters, Laurie Shinaman and her husband, Eric, of Connecticut and Amy Shepard of Boston, and one great granddaughter, Kayla Shinaman.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Shepard will be Friday, Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at Notre Dame Church in Adams. Mrs. Shepard's family wants to thank the staff of North Adams Commons for their loving care of Catherine for the past eight years.
