 Q & A  with Flavours of Malaysia Owner/Chef Sabrina Tan

Q.   You have opened a successful restaurant. At the end of the day, what accomplishment makes you the most proud?

Seeing the customers in the restaurant enjoy their food, and coming up to the window to say thanks and tell us how great it was.

Q. What were the three most important things to get your business up and running?

The three most important things for us is fresh food, quality ingredients, and consistency

Q. What has been your greatest professional success?

After a year in business we got #1 in Trip Advisors and #3 in most reviewed in Berkshire County

 Q What's your secret to keeping customers coming in?

Our way to keep customers coming back in is fresh ingredients and be consistent every time.

Q. How would you describe your restaurant?

Authentic Malaysian cuisine and everything is cook to order. Using less oil and more healthy and fresh food options. 

Q: What should first-time visitors try?

Curry Chicken and potatoes, which is a traditional Malaysian meal 

Q. What is your signature dish?

Curry Chicken and Rendang

Q. What dish are you most proud of?

Rendangs, which are fresh ground lemongrass, shallots and turmeric all sautéed together to form a great flavor.

Q. What is your favorite ingredient?

We love to use ginger, turmeric, lemongrass, and garlic

Q. Who were your biggest influences/inspirations for becoming a chef?

My biggest influence was my Mother, she has been a big part of my success.
