Desperados Fresh Mexican Grille is true to its name. Chef-owner Dave Atwell takes pride in the fact that he cooks everything fresh to order. Homemade salsa, sauces, guacamole, black beans as well as making his own chips. Signature "Smokin’ Fajitas" is a menu favorite - marinated steak or chicken served with grilled poblano pepper, red pepper, onion and potato with a side plate of rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese and warm flour tortillas.
"Welcoming Mexican restaurant in Williamstown, MA - great value with very tasty food! Excellent salsa is freshly made. We enjoyed the fundido with fantastic house-made chorizo and also pork and apple carnitas - they may sound odd but the flavour is magnificent! Margarita's and service were good as well!

Williamstown: Desperados: "My favorite restaurant"
happygourmet, MA Jan 3, 2007
My family has been dining at this restaurant for over 10 years. The food is great, atmosphere is relaxing (and clean), and the staff is way above average. We have never had a bad meal and would highly recommend you visit them soon. They make all their own sauces too. The margaritas are the best I have ever had and I eat at Mexican restaurants all over the country.

"Authentic Mexican food is what you get at Desperados, where they make all their own salsas and sauces. Many of the dishes arrive at your table sizzling. Check out desserts such as flan and fried bananas."
