NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — It was all Belchertown Saturday as the Orioles took down Drury, 42-0.

Both teams today were looking to get things going by securing their first victory of the season. Belchertown (1-4), coming off a loss to Monument Mountain, started off the game well with a 48-yard touchdown run.

It  then scored on the next possession with an aerial attack that was good from 50 yards out. John Flink had two passing touchdowns and 226 yards passing. His next score went for 60 yards and brought the halftime score to 21-0.

Belchertown picked up in the second half the way it left the first half. Flink converted on the ground for 3 yards and a score pushing his touchdown total to three on the day. Belchertown continued to dominate the game on both sides of the ball giving the Blue Devils no room to run or throw. This game was won in the trenches for Belchertown as they were hard to contain from getting in the backfield.

Most of Belchertown’s touchdowns were big yardage plays as they wore down Drury. Belchertown scored two more touchdowns in the half giving them the easy win.

Belchertown will look to carry this momentum into Friday's game against a tough Lee Wildcats team next Friday on the road. Drury  (0-5) will take a week off and regroup as they take on Monument Mountain home on the Oct. 21.
