CHICOPEE, Mass — The Hoosac Valley (4-2 Berkshire County, 4-3 overall) football team went into the final quarter with a 12-6 lead over Chicopee Comp but two late fourth quarter fumbles gave Chicopee Comp a chance to win the game and they took advantage, knocking off the Hurricanes 25-12 on Friday night.

Hoosac's main running back Matt Braman was forced to leave the game early with an injury, which put the rushing load on junior Colby Gage.  Gage finished with 15 carries for 49 yards and a touchdown.  Senior Corey Puccio, who took over at quarterback when Braman moved to running back two games ago had his best game of the season as he finished with seven completions for 98 yards and a touchdown.

Hurricane freshman Peter Barrow had his best game of his young career, catching four of Puccio's passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.

Hoosac heads home this weekend to take on Taconic (2-4, 2-5) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
