Greylock Boys, Wahconah Girls Earn Top Soccer Seeds

The Western Massachusetts boys and girls soccer tournament  seedings were released Friday afternoon. 
 
Mount Greylock's boys (12-1-3) earned the No. 1 seed for Division 3 and got a bye to the second round. The Mounties will play the winner of No. 8 Palmer and No. 9 Athol.
 
Elsewhere in D3, Wahconah (11-6-1) and Monument Mountain (9-5-4) boys earned the No. 7 and No. 5 seeds, respectively. Wahconah will host No.10 Mahar while Monument earned a bye to the second round and will be facing No. 4 Southwick, who also earned a bye.
 
In D4, Mount Everett (14-1-3) was seeded No. 3, earning a bye; they will play winner of No. 6 Lenox (7-7-4) and No.11 Mohawk; which will be hosted at Lenox High School. No. 12 McCann (13-5-1) will play No. 5 Westfield Vocational in Westfield in a rematch of Friday's thrilling State Vocational Tournament final, won by the Hornets In penalty kicks after a 0-0 tie. Lee (9-6-2), seeded No. 8, will host No. 9 St. Mary.
 
Pittsfield High (9-5-4) earned the No.4 seed in Division 1; it will host No.5 Central.
 
The Wahconah girls (14-2-2) earned the No.1 seed for Division III earning a bye to the second round. They will host the winner of No. 8 South Hadley and No. 9 Southwick.
 
Monument Mountain (12-4-2) was seeded No. 7 and will host No. 10 Palmer, and No. 4 Mount Greylock (12-5) will host No. 13 Athol.
 
In Division 4, No. 4 McCann will host No.13 Smith Vocational, Mount Everett (8-6) earned No.6 seed and will host No.11 Mohawk, and No. 3 Lee earned a bye to round two and will host the winner of the Mount Everett and Mohawk game.
 
The Pittsfield girls earned the No. 6 seed for Division I and will host No. 11 Amherst.
 
The first round of the boys’ tournament will begin on Tuesday Nov. 4th and the girls will begin on Monday Nov. 3rd.
