NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Chris Gajda made six saves as the McCann Tech boys soccer team earned its 13th shutout of the year with a 3-0 win over Smith Vocational on Tuesday.

Shane Fuller and Damon Couture each had a goal and an assist for the unbeaten Hornets (15-0-3).

"We controlled the ball most of the game and kept the play in Smith's end, forcing our offense," McCann coach Tom Bona said.

"Our defensive crew played well, keeping Smith Voc away from our net and kept sending the ball up to our offense."
Bona singled out senior Dillon Carr with helping to anchor a McCann defense that has allowed just eight goals in 18 games this fall.

The Hornets scored the only goal they needed with a little less than two minutes left in the first half on a give-and-go from Fuller and Couture inside the 18-yard box.

"We continued to work hard and pressure offensively in the second half and it paid off when Connor Little scored off a rebound from a corner kick," Bona said. "The third goal, Damon [Couture] made a nice cross ball from the right to Shane [Fuller] inside the 18-yard box."

McCann travels to meet Putnam on Thursday.
