Higuera's Three Assists Lift Pittsfield Boys over Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Sam Higuera set up all three goals Saturday as the Pittsfield boys soccer team defeated Taconic, 3-0, at Kirvin Park.

 

Carter Matthews scored twice, and Max Whalen scored his first varsity goal for the game-winner in the 34th minute.

 

Avi Snowise needed to make just two saves to earn the shutout in goal.

 

Colby Sherman made 12 stops for Taconic (0-11-1), which goes to Lenox on Monday.

 

Pittsfield (6-5-2) goes to Minnechaug on Wednesday.
