WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — It's Mounties versus Orioles times two on Friday in the Western Massachusetts Division 2 soccer tournaments.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association posted the marching orders for the Mount Greylock Regional High School boys and girls soccer teams.

Each squad is slated to play a top-seeded team from Belchertown in the regional semi-finals.

The MIAA has set a double-header for Mounties and Orioles fans on Friday at Northampton High School.

At 5 p.m. the Mount Greylock girls (11-3-3) will meet Belchertown (17-0-2), which advanced on Tuesday with a 7-0 win over Easthampton. The Mounties also won on Tuesday, in penalty kicks, against Hoosac Valley.

At 7 p.m., the Mount Greylock boys (16-3-1) will take on Belchertown (19-0) for a berth in the boys championship game against either South Hadley or Monument Mountain, who will play at Szot Park in Chicopee on Friday evening. Belchertown's boys demolished Palmer, 5-0, in the quarterfinal round.

The boys' game originally was penciled in for Wednesday night, but given the impending Nor'easter and the fact that the MIAA ended up with two games featuring the same two schools for the semis, the double-header was an obvious fit.
