Pittsfield Boys Complete Season Sweep of Monument

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Jackson Rich scored a pair of second half goals on Wednesday to lead the Pittsfield boys soccer team to a 3-1 win over Monument Mountain at Kirvin Park.
 
The Spartans got on the board first when Mitch Amstead scored in the fourth minute.
 
But Pittsfield (7-1-2) answered before half-time when Rich set up Grady Pedersen.
 
In the first minute of the second half, Rich put his team ahead with a goal assisted by Max Tabakin. Ten minutes later, Pedersen set up Rich to make it 3-1.
 
Kevin Kelly stopped five shots for Monument Mountain.
 
Jon Bile had three saves for PHS, which hosts Minnechaug on Friday afternoon.
