Pittsfield Boys Earn Tie With Ludlow

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Jackson Rich scored a goal, and Jon Bile made six saves as the Pittsfield boys soccer team earned a 1-1 tie against Ludlow on Wednesday.
 
The Generals (7-1-6) went ahead early in the first half. Sam Higuera started the play with a throw-in that Evan Dempsey settled with his head to Rich, who converted for his team-leading 11th goal.
 
Ludlow’s Jonathan Dos Santos scored an unassisted goal in the 58th minute, converting the rebound of his own shot off a Bile save.
 
Pittsfield, which is unbeaten in its last five games, goes to Medford on Saturday.
